The Access to Sports Project delivers a comprehensive Coach Education and Leadership Programme, designed to help young people build skills, gain recognised qualifications, and progress into volunteering or employment in sport.
We offer a wide range of courses and development opportunities, including:
Junior Sports Leaders Awards in a variety of sports (Ages 13+)
National Governing Body (NGB) Coaching Qualifications (Ages 16+)
Opportunities to volunteer on our popular coaching programmes
Opportunities to gain employment with the Access to Sports Project

Duke of Edinburgh Awards (DofE)
Workshops and training for volunteers and sports workers

The Next Gen Leadership Academy is an exciting 12-week programme for young people who want to lead in their sport, school, and community.
Each participant will gain the following qualifications:
Level 1 Award in Sports Leadership
Duke of Edinburgh Award (Bronze)
Introduction to First Aid in Sport
Alongside nationally recognised qualifications, participants will benefit from:
Valuable work experience
FREE sports kit and uniform
FREE food and refreshments at every session

FREE and subsidised course places are available for young people living in Hackney, Islington, and Haringey*.
As part of this scheme, participants may be required to:
Complete a minimum of 12 hours of voluntary work
Gain hands-on experience in sport and leadership
